Ed Blackwood

Pastor (Teaching Elder)

Edshot

Ed Blackwood was born in a Christian home in Topeka, KS. His earliest memory of God’s saving work in him was when he was just 5 years old. He knew even then that he was a sinner, and prayed, with a child faith, asking Jesus to forgive his sins and give him salvation. God has continued the work he began in Ed and will bring it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. A few years after marrying his beloved wife, Nancy, his pastor encouraged him to consider pastoral ministry. After several months of praying about this and seeking counsel from their elders and parents, Ed and Nancy believed that was what God was calling him to do. He attended RPTS from September 1988 to May 1991, pastored the Evansville, Indiana congregation of the RPCNA from 1991-2000 and the Frankston congregation of the RP Church of Australia from 2006-2015. He served as Director of Admissions and Student Services at the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary from 2016-2023.

Ed and his wife, Nancy, have 6 married children and 21 born grandchildren – literally scattered all over the world. Ed was installed as pastor of Springs Reformed Church in December of 2023.
